Armadillidium peraccae
(Bumpy Unicorn Pillbug)
Ever heard the phrase, "These breed like rabbits?" Well, Armadillidium peraccae (the Bumpy Unicorn Pillbug) makes a case for it being, "These breed like isopods!" This has, by far, been the most prolific Armadillidium species I've kept to date. Individuals start out tan and generally shift to gray with age. Their dorsal sides are powdered in a coating of alluring tubercles. Similar to A.nasatum, Bumpy Unicorn Pillbugs have a cute, little "horn"/"nose" in between their eyes.
