cf. Nagurus sp. "New Jersey Mystery"
(New Jersey Mystery Isopod)
cf. Nagurus sp. "New Jersey Mystery" (the New Jersey Mystery Isopod) is an enigmatic crustacean that originates from a captive roach colony owned by New Jersey bug hobbyist, Ken Chiarella. It is still uncertain how they got into the enclosure, where they came from, and exactly what they are. One thing's for sure though - these are some fascinating micropods! Members of this species throw a variety of colors including, but not limited to, gray, brown, and white, all the while sporting orange-tinged antennae. Hopefully the New Jersey Mystery Isopod persists in culture for years to come, revealing its many secrets to those who seek!
