Bantua robusta (Robust Barrel Roach)

These adorable, little roaches really are shaped like barrels! Nymphs, like certain darkling beetles, sport a powdery coating that acts as a natural sun block. Adult males possess a set of freakishly long and narrow wings, while females lack them completely. Similar to other members of the family Perisphaerinae, Bantua robusta requires plentiful ventilation.

Adult Size - Male (33 mm), Female (30 mm)

Climbing Ability - Nymphs & adults can climb

Flying Ability - Adult males can fly

B.robusta aren't particularly large or crowding sensitive, so their enclosure doesn't need to be spacious.

B.robusta aren't picky about their substrate as long as it holds moisture well.

Type - Not picky

Moisture level - 1/4 moist & 3/4 dry

Food
B.robusta aren't picky about their food and can be fed an average roach diet.

Type - Fruits, proteinaceous pet foods, vegetables

Temperature
B.robusta can be kept into the mid 70s, but grow and breed fastest at warmer temperatures.

Range - 75 F to 85 F
