Paraplecta cf. minutissima (Little Kenyan Roach)

Paraplecta cf. minutissima
(Little Kenyan Roach)

These were unidentified until just recently, when they were discovered to be a Paraplecta species - likely P.minutissima. Nymphs start off orange and slowly grow into brown adults with tiny wings. They are one of the absolute smallest roaches in the hobby, rarely exceeding 10 mm in length. Females create small chambers beneath the substrate's surface, where they give birth to their young. The Little Kenyan Roach works great as both a micro feeder and a tankmate for larger bugs.
