Opisthoplatia orientalis (the Red and Black Roach) Nymphs sport an earthy color palate and look like little wood chips. Adults are glossy, with striking red, black, AND white coloration. The Red and Black Roach has been more forgiving in captivity than some other notable Epilamprids. 

Adult Size - Male (33 mm), Female (40 mm)

Enclosure
O.orientalis aren't particularly large or crowding sensitive, so their enclosure doesn't need to be spacious.

O.orientalis aren't picky about their substrate as long as it holds moisture well.

O.orientalis aren't picky about their food and can be fed an average roach diet.

O.orientalis can be kept into the low 70s, but grows and breeds fastest at warmer temperatures
