One of the most iconic species in the hobby! The Giant Cave Roach has been bred for decades and is still the largest winged species in common culture, with wingspans reaching half a foot in length! Differing from some other massive blaberids, this species is not bulky, but extremely broad and flat. While this species (and the genus in general) is very commonly hybridized, we have made sure that out stock is 100% pure.

Enclosure
B.giganteus are massive and crowding sensitive, so their enclosure should have some space.

Substrate
B.giganteus aren't picky about their substrate as long as it holds moisture well, isn't abrasive, and is deep enough to burrow in.

Moisture level - Moderate

Food
B.giganteus daren't picky about their food and can be fed an average roach diet.

Type - Fruits, proteinaceous pet foods, vegetables

Temperature
B.giganteus can be kept into the low 70s, but grow and breed fastest at warmer temperatures.

Range - 70 F to 85 F
