Pycnoscelus sp. "Thailand"

Pycnoscelus sp. "Thailand"

Pycnoscelus sp. "Thailand" is suspected to be a locality of the Surinam Roach (Pycnoscelus surinamensis), however, this theory has yet to be proven. These roaches are parthenogenetic, meaning that every individual is a self-cloning female. They are also extremely prolific. It is not uncommon to end up with hundreds only months after acquiring them. Amusingly, words can be spelled out with food items and when the roaches cover it, you can trick your friends into believing you have talking bugs. 😂
